Fergal Murtagh – Managing Director

An MBS graduate of the University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Business School. Spent over 7 years in Kingspan Group within M&A, Business Development and Sales roles. Was responsible for integrating the low energy TEK Building System into the Century Homes timber frame business acquired by Kingspan in 2005 for €60m. From 2006 until 2010 served as a Director of Smart Telecom until its sale to Digiweb.

 

Tim McLeman – Technical Director

After graduating in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Tim has gained many years’ experience of running dynamic and fast-moving engineering businesses. Tim’s previous roles include Managing Director at RTK Instruments and Engineering Director at BritishEco. His experience within the industry has given him a detailed knowledge of Biomass, Heat Pump and Solar technologies.

Jeff Tomlinson – Sales & Marketing Director

Jeff spent over 20 years working within Sales & Marketing for the Kingspan Group. He has particular expertise in developing marketing and in branding strategies and in 2009 he set up the Kingspan Solar Inc business living and working in Baltimore, North America.
As Business Development Director of the TEK pre-fabricated Building System, he created a National Network of fabrication partners and increased sales from £1million to £13million within 5 years. Prior to the acquisition of Wood Energy Ltd in 2013, Jeff worked with Co-Director Tim McLeman at BritishEco promoting Biomass, Heat Pump and Wind technologies.

Jeremy Margetson – Group Finance Director

Graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Biological Sciences & Mathematics, Jeremy initially worked in Research & Development (Microbiological Diagnostics) before deciding to move into accountancy.

A Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA), Jeremy has nearly 20 years’ accountancy experience.

He began his training in practice, followed by 6 years in the Global ICT services industry where he was promoted to lead the Central Finance team within a SOX compliant framework.

Jeremy initially joined the business in 2012 as a Financial Controller before being promoted to the Board.

His experience across practice and industry environments has resulted in a diverse skillset – including financial modelling, FP&A, tax planning, business acquisitions plus commercial negotiation
