Energy Supply Contracts (ESCOs)

Fire up your energy independence with a free commercial biomass boiler, supplied and installed by us

Wood Energy can now offer you a solution to reduce your hot water and heating costs without the initial outlay of funds. Our capital investment is paid out of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) over a period of years; we will then continue to use the money to cover the cost of maintenance and servicing up to the end of the 20 years. This allows you to reap all of the benefits without any risk at all, as we will cover all maintenance costs over the 20 year period.

All of this on top of a 20-year warranty will leave you totally in our trusted care.

Could you benefit from an ESCO?

If you are off the gas grid, with fuel bills in excess of £30k, you could be one of the businesses or establishments eligible to benefit from an Energy Supply Contract (ESCO), which would provide you with a fully funded biomass boiler, and enable you to start making savings on your heating energy bills right from the word go.

What is an ESCO?

Essentially an investor will fully fund the supply, installation, service and maintenance of a brand new biomass boiler for you.  You then buy your heating energy directly from them, with typical savings of around 20% over oil or LPG.

How does it work?

The investor registers for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), which allows them to get a return on their investment over 20 years, as well as supplying you with affordable heating.  In the meantime, you have the peace of mind of a brand new efficient biomass boiler for free! No upfront capital costs or worries about either servicing, maintenance or fuel supply.

Who would benefit?

The ESCO schemes are particularly suited to high energy users, such as hotels, care homes, colleges, agriculture, housing association district heating schemes and business parks.  Anybody on oil or LPG using over 450k kilowatt hours of heating energy per annum will make significant savings.

It’s a long term partnership

Because the RHI runs over a 20 year period, this is a long term partnership, bringing pricing stability to the table.  The key is to select a partner with reliable credentials, who you can be confident will deliver the high level of customer service you require.

Have I missed the boat?

If you already have a biomass boiler, and it was installed before 15th July 2009, you may still be eligible for the scheme, with a complete replacement boiler and a possible one-off payment.
