Strong Biofuels Ltd, the UK’s 4th largest bio-diesel producer is delighted to announce it has been granted the ISCC Certificate, according to the Renewable Energy Directive (RED).
This significant milestone follows hot on the heals of our recent ISO 14001 and 9001 accreditation by QMS International, one of the UK’s leading ISO certification bodies.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
Achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management System within our business helps us protect the environment, build customer trust and meet our legal obligations. Protecting the environment is an important business issue for us. Many organisations now require their suppliers to have specific environmental management plans. Implementing ISO 14001 policies will enable us to demonstrate to our customers and stakeholders that our business is committed to reducing its environmental impact. The standard helps us to reduce waste, improve resource efficiency and cut waste management costs.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised Standard for certification which will provide our customers with assurance that they will receive consistent, quality products and services and at the same time, help to reduce costs and improve productivity. ISO 9001 contains a set of Quality Principles, which include: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, continual improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management.
Fergal Murtagh, Managing Director commented, ‘’ The management Team have worked tirelessly in achieving both ISO9001 and 14001 and this is a significant step in our journey of becoming the leading biofuels producer in the UK. We very much look forward to the benefits these accreditations will provide, not least; increased efficiency, international recognition, better supplier relationships, improved customer satisfaction and greater employee morale’’
